R.I.P. Winter The Greatest Memorial Pins

Hi everybody,

It is with the greatest sadness that we must announce the passing of our dearest friend, pet, band mate, tour companion, muse, and loyal family member, Winter. He died in his sleep at home with us early Thursday morning, at 9 years old. What we had originally thought to be symptoms of his Lyme disease turned out to be cancer. Along with the vet, we did everything we could to care for him and make him comfortable in his last days. We buried him at the family ranch, on the hill with 6 of his ancestors. We wrapped him in a Ghost Wolves vest, gave him a bowl of food and water for the next life, and laid him to rest, peacefully.

Our family is devastated. We know many of you will be too by this news.

Winter traveled around the USA with us for years, and experienced so much along the way. He climbed mountains in Colorado, and ran a muck through the muddy woods of Connecticut and New Hampshire. He swam in the oceans on all three coasts and splashed his way through the Great Lakes. He marked his territory along the Rio Grande river in Texas, and the rolling hills of Maquoketa, Iowa. At a club called The Garage in Winston-Salem, NC, he even had his own show - taking the stage after the bands were done to do tricks - people sticking around til well after closing to take their picture with him. He hoofed his way through the streets of New York City, making friends with all of the toy-sized couture dogs on the sidewalks - maybe telling them a bit about his adventures as a traveling dog. He starred in music videos for bands big and small, some of them racking up millions of views. He is featured on every Ghost Wolves record to date, howling along, and signed our contract with Plowboy Records with his inky paw print. He even had a book written about him, A White Winter's Summer, by Stan Stites. We have countless joyous memories of our time with him.

Everybody he met along the way was a friend to him. He was the gentlest of giants, a magnificent animal, truly a noble creature.

We are printing memorial jacket/lapel pins to help pay off Winter's sizable end of life vet bills. The pins feature a picture of him in his truest element - running through a fresh snowfall in the northeastern woods, his tongue flapping in the wind.

Every order comes with an immediate download of a new song we wrote and recorded called "Journey On." The pins are $6 and they include shipping in the USA (we will ship internationally too). The web store will also let you pay more than $6, if you are so inclined.

Proceeds after we pay the veterinarian bill will be donated in Winter's name to the St. Francis Wolf Sanctuary in Montgomery, Texas.

We would like to say thank you to everybody who ever loved him. He loved you back, and we love you too. Winter showed us the true meaning of loyalty. We miss him dearly. He will live in our hearts forever.

Thank you,

Carley and Jonny
